Search for the Prophecy Stones

Story by: Beta Genius
Part One
The Prophecy Stones were legendary, only a few races that they were intended for knew of them. They were a great gift, and yet a curse at the same time. Holding the power of the race they were given to and increasing the bearer’s power ten fold, it all depended of who wore it. Only a chosen person could wear it, but it did not depend on if that person was good or bad. It was only based on the luck of the draw.
Vadolla, the girl of both Sayajin-Lemiren decent, was one of those bearers. Since she was mostly of a Lemiren, she acquired the Prophecy Stone of the Lemiren. Thankfully, her intentions and mind had nothing but goodness in them. But that isn’t with all people with the Stone.

After the gang had found out about the Stones from the encounter with the cyborg AI’s, they wondered where the other Stones might be. The cyborgs said that they had been lost during a war and have never been found since.
But this was not the only thing they, especially Vegeta, were wounding about. Neobli had said that the Planet Vegeta still existed, that Frieza never destroyed it and that it was still floating out in space. The question was, however, where?
Bulma has been trying to calculate where it might be from the data she got from the remains of Vegeta’s old space pod which he fist arrived on earth in, and in that time life’s been easy.
Trunks and Vadolla are still in the first timeline, because Vadolla hasn’t been able to open a portal to the other timeline yet, but neither of them really mind. As long as they know people in this timeline it really doesn’t matter. Trunks has stayed with Capsule Corp. as always, training with little Trunks, (or Big T, as always,) and Vegeta sometimes, and helping out. Most of the time he’d study from the books that were from the library that he’d never seen before, about weaponry or fighting techniques, things like that.
Vadolla has gotten back her old apartment and has stayed there ever since. She got a job at the local diner and has been working there. When she went outside, she usually wore gloves on both her hands to keep the suspicion of a stone in her left low.
Goku, Gohan, Chi-Chi, and Goten have gotten on with their lives as usual. They train once in a while as well, for they know that sooner or later their going to have to go to Planet Vegeta when Bulma found out where it was, so long as Chi-Chi permitted it.
The others had been living normal lives as well, and it was actually starting to look like things were going to stay that way.
"Darn it! It’s not fair I tell you!" Big T exclaimed.
"Alright! That’s the four time I’ve one this game!" Goten said, a grin appearing across his face as the game over sign with a score of four million appeared on the TV screen in front.
"How come you always win this game, Goten?! You don’t even have a game system, let alone a game period."
"Well, maybe it’s just a plain talent. Or I’m just plain better than you."
"Hey, no way! Just beginners luck, that’s all!"
"Will you guys stop yelling already, I can’t even hear myself think! I’m trying to read," Trunks shouted over their fighting from where he was sitting in a chair on the other side of the living room.
"It’s not like you can do any better on this game, Trunks."
"You think so?"
"Yeah," Big T challenged, holding up the controller to the game system.
"Alright," Trunks stood up and walked over, sitting on the floor and taking the controller. After the game had started up again, Trunks whipped through the game like it was nothing. This was a racing game so it would’ve taken a while before he finished a level, but it really didn’t really take too much time. Big T’s and Goten’s mouth drop wide open from the sight they saw, as the score just kept getting higher and higher with every second. On the last level, however, he was about to finish the race, but one of the computer players cut him off and he spun out and crashed into the wall. The screen pooped u as game over, with the score of ten million.
Trunks had a smirk across his face as he stood up and went back to his reading.
The two of them stared wide eyed as the score flashed over and over again, not believing their eyes.
"Did he just do that?" Goten asked, stunned.
"I don’t believe it. He never plays video games, and yet he beats us like he was an expert."
"Big T, Goten, Trunks! Can you get in here for a second?" Bulma said from the other room, and they all got up and went in there.
"Yeah, what is it, mom?" Big T asked. "Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve found where the Planet Vegeta is. It really isn’t very far from this planet, only a few systems away. Anyway, I still have some research to do so I want you guys to go tell everyone to come here, okay? Big T, go tell you dad for me okay? Goten you go home and tell your dad and mom. Trunks, I want you to go tell everyone else, alright?"
Nodding, they all went to go tell the others.
It didn’t take long before Big T went across the house to the gravitational center where Vegeta was training, and with telling him the news he came out right away. Goten hurried home and told his family, and with a bit of hesitation from Chi-Chi, Gohan, Goku, and him left back for Capsule Corp. Trunks hurried around to tell everyone, only spending five minutes to tell each person what was going on and to meet back at the Corp.
He went to Vadolla’s lastly because she was the closest. She was just leaving work when he was about to head for her house. He saw just leaving the diner and quickly went up to her, soon greeting him with a smile.
"Hello, Trunks."
"Hey, Vadolla. Umm, Bulma’s said she’s found where Planet Vegeta is, and I’ve just been going around to tell everyone to meet back at Capsule Corp. so she can explain it more so." Trunk said, stumbling on his words somewhat. He was kind of nervous around her, one small reason being her getting angry if he scared her on accident by coming up behind her.
"Oh, well okay. Should I be heading there now or have you told everyone already?"
"Well you were the closest one so I thought I could just tell you last, seeing how it would just be quicker that way."
"Alright," she said turning in the other direction towards Capsule Corp. Suddenly she jumped up into the air and onto the top of one of the building. "Well, what are you standing down there for? It’s a lot quicker running unnoticed." She smiled, and began to run and jump over the rooftops.
Trunks blinked, the sunlight getting in his eyes and he shrugged, following shortly after.
Arriving at Bulma’s house three minutes later, Vadolla saw the gang standing outside on the lawn, and she jumped from the last building she had landed on and walked over.
Trunks came running up a second later, and the whole gang was there.
"Good, everyone’s here," Bulma proclaimed, and continued. "Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve found the Planet Vegeta. In one of our shuttles it should only take about three days to reach. According to my research, the planet’s a desert and the average temperature is 90 degrees. The gravity there is at least twenty times the normal on earth, and it seems that sandstorms the size of large cities are regular there. If you ask me it’s doesn’t look like a very nice planet."
"We don’t care if it’s nice or not! Is there any life on the planet?" Vegeta questioned.
"Yeah, sure. The satellite that I sent there says that there’s at least five-hundred thousand life forms, most of them being Sayajins."
"So there’s actually more Sayajins out there, huh? That’s so cool!" Big T said.
"Do we leave anytime soon?" Gohan asked.
"Anytime you want," Bulma replied.
"Who said they were coming? This is my home planet," Vegeta stated.
"Hey, you might need some help, these are Sayajins after all," Goku said.
"I don’t need any of your help! Remember, I am a Super-Sayajin as well, and they only existed in legend in their minds, so I should be honored."
"Yeah, and so are we, Vegeta," Goten stated with a smirk across his face, knowing that even a person younger than Vegeta should be a king, let alone honored.
"Besides, I want to see what this Planet really looks like for real, and if these ‘legendary’ Sayajins are all their cracked up to be, as I’ve heard before," Krillen said.
"And if we are looking for the Prophecy Stones, it would probably better if we all went. It would be a whole lot easier to cover ground that way."
Vegeta gritted his teeth, and said, "Fine, come if you want."
"Now, exactly when should we leave?" Gohan questioned.
"We should probably be leaving as soon as possible, because the sooner we get there the less time we would have to spend just standing around talking about it," Piccolo explained.
"So how about in twelve hours? Everyone should be organized by then with all the stuff they want to take and to tell everyone they need to that they’ll be gone for a month or so," Goten suggested.
"Good idea. So, I guess we should all meet back here in twelve hours," Goku said, and soon they all scattered to go their ways.
Vegeta, Big T, and Trunks all stayed there and got what they need, spending the rest of their time either resting, Vegeta training, or playing video games. Goku, Gohan, and Goten all went home to tell Chi-Chi and Videl about the news. Krillen went back to master Roshi’s to tell 18 about going to Planet Vegeta. Piccolo decided to just wait there because they really didn’t have to go anywhere. Surprisingly, however, Vadolla stayed around there as well, sitting underneath a tree by herself.
After Trunks had gotten packed, he was about to challenge Big T to another match at the racing video game when he saw Vadolla sitting outside, and wondered why. Walking outside, he went up to her and said, "Hey, what are you doing out here?"
She turned her head from where she was staring blankly up at the sky to him and said, "Oh, well I already paid my apartment rent for another month last week, and I was only working at the diner on a day by day basis, so they wouldn’t mind me leaving for a month or so. Besides, I don’t have anything else to bring so I just thought I would stay here."
"Well don’t you want to come inside?"
"No, that’s alright. I can stay out here. I don’t want to be a bother."
"How would you be?"
"I’ll probably just get in you guy’s way for something."
"Nah, just come inside. I’m sure Big T will like to see how good you can be on a video game."
"Video game? What’s a ‘video game’?"
Trunks laughed slightly as Vadolla stood. "Come on, I’ll show you."
As they walked into the house, angry eyes stared down at them from a floor above. Vegeta still didn’t like the idea of that Lemiren being around, and the fact that she was going to his home planet to find these Prophecy Stones that probably were never going to be found made him even more angry. Of course, the others wanted to find the Prophecy Stones as well, so they were going too. If he was going to have it his way, he would’ve just gone by himself. The thought of him reclaiming his birth right of being prince of that planet made his rage calm slightly, but there was a very fine line from him exploding like a volcano into complete and utter outrage.
He began packing again and soon finished. He was going to wear his modified Sayajin armor, along with his black cloths and usual white boots. After getting everything he needed, and began to walk downstairs and to the pod that was outside, but caught the conversation going on in the living room.
"So, how exactly do you play this game?" Vadolla asked, looking at the control closely.
"You just press the blue button to accelerate and the black button to break. It’s easy," Big T said laughing.
"Easy for you to say," she mumbled, looking to the screen, to the controller, and back again. After a minute or so, she crashed into a side wall because of a computer car and the score came up.
"Five-thousand. Not bad for a beginner," Trunks said.
"Not bad? That ter-" Big T exclaimed, but Trunks hit him in the arm to cut his sentence off. "Not bad for a beginner, how right!" he corrected, and rubbed his arm.
"I know, I’m really bad at this. But oh well!" she said cheerily. "Now do you have any other games? I think this is so fun."
"Yeah, we gotta fighting game."
"A fighting game? That’s sounds cool."
"Okay," Big T reached for the other game and after taking the other game out of the system, placed the other one in it’s place. "Now this game’s a lot harder, but not by much. The blue button’s kick, the green button’s punch."
"Yeah, but what’s the start button?"
Big T laughed hysterically, and Vegeta rolled his eyes, heading about side. Putting his things inside, he stayed in there, training the rest of the time at the highest gravity the pod could project.
Vadolla still tried to figure how to play a video game, all the time Big T laughing once in a while and Trunks trying to explain how the game worked. This went on for about ten hours nonstop, and time flew like nothing. The gang arrived two hours earlier than planned, but either way they decided to leave then.
After quickly punching in the coordinates, the gang soon took off, leaving earth to find the Planet Vegeta. They all trained the whole time, not stopping once for a break, (of course it didn’t take long for them to reach the Planet anyway). But once in a while, Vadolla would look under the glove on her left hand at the Lemiren Prophecy Stone, for it would sting a bit. Why it did, she didn’t know, but it wasn’t normal.
After a day or so, they saw out the window a large, rust-red planet. It didn’t look like anything could live there, but as Bulma had said before, there must’ve been some people here. Reaching further in towards the planet, the saw a small dot which appeared to be a city of some kind.
"Well if that is a city, I say we land on the outskirts," Vadolla proclaimed.
"Why should we do that?" Goten asked.
"It’s obvious. Remember, these people isolated themselves from any contact, so they wouldn’t be too happy to see us landing on their planet."
"She’s got a point. It would be a good idea to land on the outside unnoticed, just incase these people are paranoid," Piccolo said.
"Okay, I mean what could it couldn’t hurt to walk a bit more," Goku stated, and soon they landed on the planet’s surface.
The pod door opened with a hiss, and stepping out, some of them stumbled a bit, the higher gravity than earth almost getting the best of them. The planet was dead; sand kicking up all round, red dust settled on the ground, it was a wasteland.
"Ah, just as I remember!" Vegeta said proudly, stepping forward and looking out over the land.
"Uh, dad, it’s a desert," Big T proclaim.
"Of course it is! What else would it be after the war against the Tuffles and Freeza. Now, enough of this, you can stay here and talk all you want, but I have more important things to consider." He flew off after that, the others quickly following to this, assumed to be, city.
Three minutes later they saw what this place truly was, and it was a lot more than a city. Huge walls surrounded a huge city, shaped to be in a circle, and in the middle was a towering castle. It was made of a hard sandstone, and everything matched the sand around one way or another. There looked to be thousands of people here, but that was only the looks of things.
The gate to the city were fully open, so they walked right in. Vegeta was already there, a grin across his face of what he saw of this city and what would be his.
Only walking few minute after arriving, a group of armored men approached them, having swords in there hands.
"Who are you and state your business, newcomers," one of the guards said.
"I am Vegeta, Prin-"
"I asked who all of you were, not your name!" the guard interrupted, holding the sword higher up.
"Well, we’re just passing by and we’ll be gone soon," Gohan said.
"Who are you people and what is your business here?" one of the other guards repeated.
"...We’re just travelers and are just trying to find our way around, so if you don’t mind we’ll just be leaving now," Vadolla said, trying to cover up for them.
"Travelers, huh?" the guard to the left said, and someone came up behind her, grabbing her silver hair that hung off her head.
"What’s with the hair?" another guard said, taking most of her hair and pulling it back.
"Hey, let go!" she shouted, but the guard ignored her.
"I thought Sayajins only had black hair," the guard stated, pulling it over so the others could see, in which case was pulling her head along with it.
"Owe, stop it, let go!" she yelled again.
"They do... hmm, this is strange. Now that you mention it, why is a Namek here?! All of you halt!"
Vadolla elbowed the guard in the stomach, and backed away. The guards around surrounded them, and some of the people around backed away, somewhat cheering at the scene. A few seconds later another guard came forward, dressed in a more higher ranking armor and shouted angrily, "What’s going on?!"
"Intruders, captain, they tried to defy the Sayajin law."
"I leave for one minute and this is what happens! Who caused this?! Answer me or all of you will be issued to confront the king!"
The other guards side stepped out of the way to the person who had grabbed Vadolla’s hair, still trying to get up from the ground he was kneeling on, the pain in his stomach not leaving him one second. The captain stepped angrily up to the guard and grabbed his neck underneath his black head visor the guard was wearing.
"You cause anymore of a ruckus, I’ll be sure you’ll be demoted to the lowest rank you can possibly get. Understand?" He tightened his grip, and the guard quickly nodded. The captain let go, and the guard fell to his knees, gasping for air. Turning with an angry look, the captain looked over at the gang and continued, "Intruders? Weaklings, I assure you, men."
"Weakling?! And who are you to talk, mister?!" Big T questioned with an angry tone.
"Do you have something else to say, boy?" the captain stated, crossing his arms.
"Yeah!"
"I’ll take it from here, son," Vegeta stated, stepping forward.
"And who are you?" he said.
"I am Vegeta, Prince of the Sayajin race."
The guards and the captain burst out laughing, and Vegeta gritted his teeth, soon, however, having a smirk across his face. The dry ground cracked as he charged up, and then a shinning glow of light surrounded him, his black hair turning gold and his eyes a light green.
The laughing stopped, and the captain spoke, "A-a Super-Sayanjin?! Unbelievable! I didn’t think commoners could do such a thing!"
Commoners? Commoners? Did this mean that others could be Super-Sayanjins too?
The others who could turned Super-Sayanjin as well, and there was a moment of silence. The captain, however, began to chuckle, and then said, "Your power is most impressive. But it’s nothing compared to the king’s," He stood there for a second and suddenly, he, too, became golden haired and green eyed. "And sorry to say, only those of high ranks can be Super-Sayanjin, and you’re not one of them. Other wise it’s treason, and you’re to be arrested immediately."
The several guards around charged forward for the attack. The Super-Sayanjins easily threw off the guards, dodging them left and right and hitting them into a wall, quickly knocking them out. The others could take care of themselves, easily throwing the guards off. But for some reason, Vadolla refused to use her power... or maybe couldn’t at all.
After getting most of them off, reinforcements began to come from a distance, and they decided that that was enough, and just run. Even though they did, the city was like a maze and they didn’t know where they were going. The guards quickly followed, and they couldn’t loose them. But while turning one more corner, they paused for a second for the guard to pass by.
"This is stupid! We should just fight! We’d be able to beat them no problem!" Goten stated.
"We might, but they have many numbers, and some of them are Super-Sayanjins. Weak ones, but still," Gohan said.
"Let’s just stay low for now and figure out what exactly is going on," Goku said.
Vadolla looked at her left hand, for it stung again, and she wrapped in in her right hand, seeming like that helped. Trunks noticed it, but Vadolla looked up at him with her eyes telling him not to say anything, in which he didn’t.
A little door in the wall to the side, and a whispering voice came, "Psst, hey, come here. You all be safe from the guards."
The gang hesitated for a minute, but soon hurried in when they heard the voices of the captain and other guards, for they really didn’t have any other choice. After they were all in, the door shut behind, and they heard the guards pass right by, not seeming to know they were even there to begin with.
They looked around dot see who had saved them, and a little kid appeared, running over to the one stood that was next to a table, where an old woman sat. Both she and the kid had long black hair and sharp black eyes like all Sayajins did. They were severely strong compared to humans, and both wore a brown tank top and shorts.
"Well, thank you for saving us from those guards," Gohan said.
"Please, save your thanks for something else more important, it’s a sign of weakness around these parts," the old woman snapped cockily, and turned back to where she was working on mending a shirt. "Besides, if it wasn’t for the caring little boy here, I’d never even think of it."
"Oh, well thanks."
"Why did you save us anyway?" Big T question.
The woman grinned. "We all have a definite distaste in the king, if you see what I mean. He takes all the water on the planet and we’re assigned certain days when we get any. Also, we’re only allowed to eat certain foods that is randomly thrown in numbers, so we starve most of the time. So we do anything we can to get back at him."
The little boy ran back behind and opened a door in the floor, running and shutting it after. Another boy, however, younger than the other, came from behind and said, "It’s almost sundown, so I’m gonna go get the food supplies before all the good stuff is gone."
"Go ahead."
He ran passed them and out the door, slamming it shut after so it stayed shut.
"That’s the other one. Don’t even try to talk to him, ‘cause he’s not gonna say anything." She set the shirt in her hand on the table and turned her head towards them. "You guys can stay here for a day, but that’s it. After that your on your own."
"We appreciate it," Piccolo said for the rest of them.
"Uh-huh, sure," she said, trying to concentrate on her sewing. "You guys can’t sit on the floor if you like. Sorry, but we only got one stool."
Walking to the front open space, they began to sit on the floor, and thought of resting. Vegeta pondered of how it could be possible for the people here to be Super-Saiyan. No one really thought of anything else, except for Goku, Gohan, Big T, and Goten, who couldn’t think of anything else but the heat. It felt like they were in an oven, because it must’ve been over 100 degrees in there.
Vadolla still held her hands, but the pain was a bit less now. When it was almost completely gone, she lifted her hand, but that was a big mistake. The pain swelled back up again, even more this time, and even though she tried to hold it again, it didn’t stop it. She shut her eyes tightly, the sting growing to the point where she could scream.
"You okay, Vadolla?" Goten asked, noticing that her head was bent and her eyes shut forcefully.
"Yeah, you don’t look so good," Krillen said.
She swallowed, and opened her eyes to speak. "Yeah, I’m okay." Her eyes rapidly widened and shut back again, her hand starting to swell over the pressure she was holding with her other hand.
"You sure? You don’t look okay," Trunks stated.
"No, really, I’m f... fine..." she bit her lip, and soon stood up, pulling off the glove and staring at the stone, which glowed a solid bright blue. Making a fist, she grabbed her head and shut her eyes again.
"Vadolla!? What’s wrong?!" Trunks questioned.
"Just... stay away," she mumbled, trying to speak. With an angry shout, she took her hand off her head and held her left wrist. They could see that she was tightening her grip with every second.
"Vadolla, what are you doing?"
"If I can’t get rid of this pain I’ll just break it off! AH!"
"Now, wait a sec’! Don’t go to drastic measures!" Gohan proclaimed.
"This is not drastic! You can’t even imagine what this is!" she shouted again, twisting her wrist.
Trunks grabbed back her arm and most of the others held her back and her left arm forwards.
"Stop! I have to get rid of the stone!" she yelled, and her anger began to boil. Her silver hair rose slightly, and her hand glowed a bright blue that was used for her psychic energy.
"What the...! Who are you people?!" the old woman yelled, standing up from the stool.
Trunks handed her arm back to Krillen, who was behind holding the other arm, and quickly picked up the glove on the floor. He put it back on her hand and held it with both his hands.
"Vadolla, take it easy. It’s okay. The pain in your hand might be unbearable, but don’t go losing your hand over this stone."
She hesitated for a second, searching the room with her eyes, and finally calmed, her hand fading back to normal. When they let go a second later, she fell to her knees and held her hand again, her anger decreasing, but still there.
They turned their heads over to the old woman, who stared wide eyed at them all. She was speechless for a time until someone tried to say something to explain.
Making an angry face, she pointed to the door and explode in maddening rage. "GET OUT!! All of you get out! This is all just too weird!"
"But-"
"No! I don’t want an explanation or whatever, just get OUT!"
They began to head towards the door, and they noticed that the woman didn’t take her words lightly. She charged up a blast and shot it right at the door, a huge smoke cloud forming. "Now!"
They ran out coughing and made a break for it to the entrance before the guards tried to catch them again.

After leaving the city, they walked through the desert for a time, considering what had just happen. They were a long ways from the spaceship, and the sun, to what they could possibly see from beyond the rolling sands, was setting quickly. Right out of the ground suddenly a large mountain range appeared in front of them. It was like jagged spicks coming out of the gravel, a sand beaten stone which stood in endless silence. As the sand storms became more and more violent, they found shelter in a cave just around the cliff side. It went back quite a ways until it came to a dead end, with a suspicious crack running sideways through the end wall.
After making a small dug in a the dry ground, and set up a fire using one of the guy’s powers. They all stayed silent for a while, the fire crackling now and then. Suddenly, Gohan said, "So, does anyone have any ideas on what’s going on here?"
"Yes, I’ll tell you what’s going on, this place has gone insane! This is nothing like it was before. There was no limits on how strong you could be, in fact it was encouraged that you become stronger than the king, rather than be restricted," Vegeta stated.
"Unless someone doesn’t want them to be stronger," Piccolo said.
"And it’s probably that king those guys were talking about earlier. But I wonder who this guy is."
Goten turned his head, not really interested in the conversation, and noticed the line across the back wall. He back away to there and looked at it, finding after tapping on two different walls of the rock that it sounded different. He tried to look through it and found that he could, that it was hollow.
"If he can control what level of power you can go to, he probably controls mostly everything else as well. But for what purpose?" Trunks stated.
A small shot but loud bang exploded the back wall and everyone quickly looked back there with question. Goten had shot the wall, and was still staring in the same direction, seeing if his theory about it being hollow was correct.
"Goten, what are you-" Goku questioned, but when he looked he saw that his son’s guess was right.
The pathway of the cave continued to go on farther in, and they couldn’t see where it ended. They decided it would be best if they just keep heading forwards into the cave, for they didn’t know what was back there and it would be better to know if they were going to stay here for a day.
But in fact it went on for quite a ways, and it seemed like the walls widened up and darkened, even through the light they were using was the same. All seemed normal, until Vadolla, who was walking behind, stopped, staring at her hand.
"Guys, wait a second," she said, and they stopped, turning around.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"You know how my hand hurt before?"
"We don’t have time for this nonsense!" Vegeta snapped.
"Wait a second, Vegeta. Yeah, so?"
She paused for a second, and looked up. "It stopped hurting."
A slight roaring sound came from behind them, and the walls and floor came a rushing black, and the only thing the light was reflecting off from was themselves. It was like they were now floating off the ground, but were on a solid surface. They seemed to start glowing lightly, and there skin turned darker and pale. Suddenly, the surroundings faded into a room, looking like a small throne room with a desk, four large windows looking out into a desert.
"What is all this?" Krillen asked, not actually speaking to anyone particular.
Remaining where they were, everyone gazed around with question, not understanding what was going on. Vegeta, however, believed that this was really familiar, but didn’t quite know.
The door behind swung open, and a man entered, dressed in a white and rust-red armor. He had a very plain expression on his face, and sat in the chair behind the desk. He took a piece of paper and pen, and began to write something with deep thought.
They all wondered who this guy was, but Vegeta knew exactly.
"Who’s this guy?" Big T asked.
"M-my father...!?" Vegeta said, shocked. Another person entered the room, this time a lot smaller. Running by, the boy went right through them, like they weren’t even there.
"Father! The new clients are here!" the boy proclaimed.
"Yes, I have already been informed," the man said, not looking up from where he was writing, and continued. "While I am having this meeting, I want you to stay with your caretakers, is that clear?"
"Yes, father."
"Good. Now go."
"May I practice my shooting on the practice field?"
"Yes, go ahead."
The boy turned with a grin across his face and left out the door.
Finishing his work, the man got up and after putting the paper under the other stack of papers, he began to leave, and the surroundings faded around turning black again. It stayed that way for a bit, and then turning into an oversized room, looking to be the real throne room, where Sayajin soldiers lines in rows facing the bricked path in the middle, leading to the throne. Sitting there was the king, or the man from before. In front of them was four people, two looking to be a king and queen, and the other two looking to be guards. Set behind them was an unopened chest, and in front was one that was opened, holding five stones, all of a different color.
"I remember this. Now I understand," Vegeta said. "This is a vision from the past. This is what happened when the Lemirens became clients of the Sayajins."
"What? You mean we’re seeing the past?" Goku asked.
"Yes. I don’t understand why, but this is the past."
It looked like the meeting was almost over, and the king looked like he had been laughing, but now wasn’t.
"You bring rocks as payment?"
"Not just any type of rock, as you would say. These are Prophecy Stones. There is only one of every kind, which is five. They are priceless, and if you accept what we are saying you shall have these," the Lemiren king said.
"Are you joking? If you want us to conquer these planets for you you’ll have to bring something better than rocks."
"You wish for something less? Very well." The queen and king turned back to the guards, who walked up, took the chest in front away, replaced it with the other and opened it. The soldiers looked at what was in it with awe as the king continued. "Gold. Unlimited amounts of it as well. Name your price and we shall grant you with gold."
The Sayajin king grinned and said, "Very well, you have a deal."
The back-round faded out again, and then to the room they were first in. The Sayajin king was at his desk, an angry expression his face, while other advisors stood around him.
"So they can’t pay for the planets and they’ve refused to give those rocks which they were so willing to give at the start?"
"Yes, your highness."
"And none of you knew of this?! I give you the job of spying on these Lemirens and you let this slip!"
"Sir, we could not have known of this. They kept to hide this very well, to my guess, sir."
The king’s temper calmed, and he paused for a minute. Getting up, he went to the window and looked out over the vast desert. "Well," he said with a slight smirk. "I believe the Colds have been asking where the location of these Lemirens are. It seems that telling them will be payback for not paying us, am I right?"
"Yes, sir."
"Very well. Issue a statement to Frieza that we have identified the location of the Lemirens."
"Very well, sir."
The blackness came fading back in, and this time it lasted for several minutes. A light came back however, and revealed them to be in a desert now, different from that of Planet Vegeta. Ships came the sky and landed quickly on the ground, soldiers soon coming out and running passed them.
"Hmm, this must be the colony planet before it was destroyed," Vegeta said as more and more soldier passed right through them.
As the numbers began to get more and more, one of them ran passed Goku, but soon stopped. He turned back, looking like he was staring Goku right in the face, but couldn’t see him. It was like he was looking into a mirror also, because the soldier looking at him looked almost exactly like Goku.
"Visions again, Bardock?" another soldier asked running passed him
"No, don’t be stupid," the soldier said, and ran forwards like the rest.
"Who was that?" Goten asked.
"That would be Kakarot’s father, Bardock," Vegeta stated.
"M-my father?!" Goku questioned.
"Yes. He was with the supporting army with my father when they went to go fight the Cold army."
The scenery flashed in and out more quickly this time, and to a more livingly landscape. It was all grasslands to where the eye could see, and a river running right by them on a bright afternoon. The sky was a bright blue, and there was no clouds in the sky at the time.
"What’s this place, dad?" Big T asked.
"This I don’t know. I’ve never seen this place before."
"I know," Vadolla spoke up. "My mother used to tell me about it. Fields of grass to where the eye could see; crystal clear waters circling the planet. This is the Lemiren’s home world."
They looked around for a bit, and the ground beneath them turned to the illuminating glow of stars and the planet’s rays from the distant sun. They were just standing there, unmoving for while, and watching as a ship approached the Lemirens home world. As the ship began to slow in the distance, hovering quite far from the planets surface and just outside the atmosphere, something emerged from it. Seeming to be a being, it stayed just outside the safety of the ship. The being held out its hand and a energy sphere began to form. it took a few minutes to realize what was happening, but when they did it was an almost shock.

Vadolla looked in horror as that sphere was launched at the planet, issuing its destruction. She tried to fly forwards, as if she could stop it, but realized again that it was just a memory, and that it had already happened. The image faded, and even though they couldn’t hear or see it, they knew what had happened to the planet. The blackness came again, and then finally went back to the cave surroundings.
They all knew now. They all knew the truth of what happened to the Lemirens and the Sayajins. The Lemirens were betrayed by the Sayajins, and in the end the Sayajins were betrayed by Colds. It was sad to think of it, but wondered how Vegeta felt, learning that his own kind brought the destruction of another over being unable to pay for planet that they had conquered.
And then again, how would Vadolla feel after this. Destruction she had always felt to be nonsense, and that it made her sad every time she heard of it. But now, seeing with her own eyes her own kind being destroyed for no real purpose; it must’ve torn her heart in two.
She stood silent, looking blankly in the other direction, not really thinking or staring at anything for a time.
Trunks walked up behind her, thinking about what had just happened, and said, "Vadolla, you okay?"
She said nothing, remaining still.
"Hey, are you alright?" Gohan asked.
She still didn’t speak. Trunks put his hand on her shoulder, and with that it was like something snapped in her head. She quickly snapped around and backed away, her eyes wide and dilated in shock. She stumbled backwards a couple of times, and finally turned, running out of the cave.
"What’s up with her?" Big T asked.
"Her home planet was just destroyed in front of her, Big T. How would you feel if earth was destroyed in front of you and you couldn’t do anything about it?" Goten stated.
"It wasn’t her home world, but it’s close enough."

They stayed in the cave for a while, considering of what to do about all of this. maybe they should go back to that city and find out for sure what was going on? But then again, these people didn’t even flinch when they turned Super-Sayajin, so if they were seen there it would probably mean trouble. Either way, they didn’t intend to turn tail and run, not now, not when they had heard this story and didn’t hear how it ended.
Vadolla didn’t come back, and her power level couldn’t be sensed. A mighty sand-storm kicked up outside, so that might have been one reason why they couldn’t sense her. But with her sliver hair like that, if she got close to any people, she would’ve been spotted, and might’ve been captured.
Even though she hadn’t been gone that long, maybe an hour, Trunks couldn’t help but wonder. He didn’t understand why he kept on thinking about it, but just did. After a while it started to get to him, and no matter how much he wanted to pay attention to the conversation, it stayed in his thoughts.
"So we all agree that going back to the city would be the best idea," Goku said.
"We might as well find out why the planet is the way that it is," Krillen assumed.
"Then it’s settled, we head back for that city tomorrow," Gohan stated.
They all relaxed after that, and decided to get a bit of shut-eye. But Trunks, after the conversation had ended, turned and was heading out of the cave. He was stopped, however, when Big T saw him leaving.
"Hey, Trunks, what cha doin’?"
"I’m going out," he replied, continuing to walk on.
"Out? Like where?"
He didn’t answer that question, and didn’t turn back either.
"Hey, Trunk-" Big T started to repeat as if he had not heard him, but Vegeta stopped him from speaking.
"Let him go, Trunks, he’s not going to answer you. If you must know he’s going after the girl, if you couldn’t already have guessed."
They all remained silent after that, thinking for some time and soon getting to sleep.
Trunks stayed low to the ground as he flew across the flat deserts, the sand getting really bad. It didn’t take long for him to spot someone on the ground, their power level staying low but higher than that he could recognize. He swept to the ground and landed behind them a few feet.
"Vadolla, is that you?" he asked.
She turned her head slightly, but didn’t say anything. From where she was sitting, the hair on her head was sand beaten, appearing more of a brown than silver. He could tell that she had stayed here for a time, and hadn’t moved at all.
"Are you okay, Vadolla?"
She turned her head back and said with tears her eyes and a choked up voice, but trying to joke about it, "Just dandy."
A slight smile appeared on the side of his mouth, and he went up next to her, sitting on the ground.
"Reminds me of home," she said suddenly, looking out as if she could see something that wasn’t really there.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"It isn’t just about that planet, but what happened at my home, my real home in the third timeline."
"What happened?"
She paused for a moment and began to speak. "It was like this," she said. "The planet that was my home was already trashed from other species which had passed through there. The Colds had the ability to put people in a different timeline, but they didn’t know where and frankly didn’t care. The planet was deserted except for a few people, and there were only a few water outputs anywhere that could barely keep them. There were plenty of plants to live off from but the water was so scarce, people fought over it severely.
"You may not get it, but from where I lived that planet which was destroyed was a gift to have. And people took it for granted like it was nothing. They destroyed one of the only planets that could be called living, alone with the millions of people on it."
Well, she was right about him not understanding, but not so much that he couldn’t get it. He understood that things like the Lemiren home world was a gift, sort of like his world before it was destroyed by the androids 17 and 18 so long ago. But what he didn’t know about was her home world. He just didn’t understand what it might have been like there.
"It just isn’t fair..." she said with a bit of anger, trying to keep it low. "All because of a stupid payment."
She place her hands on the top of her head and shut her eyes, seeming like there was something wrong with her mind now.
"Are you all right?"
"The pain in my hand doesn’t affect my hand... but my mind..." she stated. "That’s why I wanted to take it out before."
The wind started to howl even more, and the land became almost dark now.
Trunks stood up and said, "Come on, we should be getting back."
He turned to walk on, but Vadolla didn’t move.
"Vadolla?"
"You won’t be able to get anywhere in this flying, it would be too hard to see without flying into a mountain or something."
"Then we’ll have to walk."
She paused for a second, and stood, turning and holding her hand with the other to try to stop it from hurting so much. Trunks followed, and left.

Arriving back at the cave about a half an hour later, the sandstorm had died down, and the Planet was bright from the stars in the night sky. They went back into the cave where the others were, finding that they were now all asleep.
Vadolla sat farther away from them against a wall, silence concealing her from talk. Trunks sat closer in the cave, crossing his arms and shutting his eyes. He spoke just before he went to sleep.
"We’ll be heading back to the city in the morning. So I would get some sleep." Soon after, he was fast asleep.
Vadolla didn’t sleep, however, but shut her eyes and thought, trying to sleep. Sometime, though, the time felt like only five minutes, and the sun was already coming up and shining through the cave. She opened her eyes and stood up, seeing that everyone was still asleep. Walking outside, she looked at the rising sun as it crept over the sands and made it glitter a gold color. This lasted for only a few moments however, and was seen as a normal sunrise after a bright flash of light.
She went back in the cave and to the gang. She stood there for a minute, thinking, and smiled. She raised her hand and pointed her index figure passed them to the end of the cave. Charging up a small shot, she fired it at the end wall, the shot snapping loudly and bouncing off, making it echo. They all woke up with a shock and jumped up.
With a questioned look on their faces, Vadolla couldn’t help but laugh, and they all turned towards her.
"Are you mad, girl?!!" Vegeta shouted.
"Yeah, what did you do that for?!" Gohan questioned.
"It’s morning, can’t get up without a scare, now can you? ‘Specially on this planet."
"Don’t do that again, okay! You scared the crap out of me!" Big T exclaimed.
"Anyway, aren’t we gonna go back to that city today? As I have heard it it’s true."
"Yeah, we’re going," Goku said.
"Might as well be going now then. If we’re spotted then we’ve got no chance at finding out what this is all about."

They flew across the desert easily, reaching the city in a matter of minutes. Landing on the desert ground just before the city gates, they walked in inconspicuously, or so they thought. They knew from the start that something was terribly wrong, because it was too quiet from the looks of it. But they only realized this as they stepped through the gates, and then it was too late. The gates slammed shut behind them and soon they were surrounded by Sayajin soldiers, all glowing with a Super-Sayajin aura.
"I believe that the king would like a word with you," the commander said, stepping forwards.
"Well, forget it. You can just shove that jester right down your throat," Vadolla snapped with an angry tone.
"That wasn’t a jester, that was an order."
Several guards stepped up behind them, surprising Krillen, Goten, and Gohan and shocking them in the back, making them fall unconscious. The others were able to fight back for a time. Vadolla tried to use her power a few times, but it just wouldn’t work. Eventually, one of the soldiers got her in the back and she fell. They managed to hold them off, and Vegeta even tried to fly in the air, but an electric rope came snapping up into the air and tried around his ankle, giving off the same shock that set the other unconscious, and falling to the ground he did too.
Goku and Piccolo were the last standing, but they were definitely outnumbered a hundred to one, (literally). Soon they were tackled by the soldiers, and were caught in the electric rope, unconscious as the others.

They were placed in a dark and damp dungeon, where they were locked up in a cell. There were no windows, and the only light to be seen was the faint glow of a primitive candle lamp. The bar doors were attached to severely high voltage, so any means of escape were highly doubtable. The walls were made of a bouncing material, so if any attack was fired, then it would just bounce off. Guards walked through the hallways left and right, but didn’t pass by that much as other cells might have had. One good point to it, however, was that they were in the prison of the palace...
Vegeta paced back and forth as the gang either tried to rest or thought. They all had ideas of what was going on, but Vegeta was already coming to conclusions on what to do about it. He came up with the idea that this person, whoever he was, became the leading king as the government was stirred into chaos after the Cold’s cause, probably because he was placed there by them. But anyway, he knew that it was his rightful spot to be king, and, somehow, he would escape this measly prison and fight for that right.
They all thought about Vadolla using her psychic powers to take the door right out of the wall, but soon erasing it from their mind. They knew she would never agree with it, well maybe, but they didn’t want to take the chance of her getting angry.
Vadolla kept her eyes shut at all times, not really thinking but just trying to rest more so. She didn’t say anything and wasn’t going to anytime soon. But something just happen to push her to her break point of her line of sanity.
Vegeta didn’t think to well before he spoke, the only thing on his mind was just getting out. "You, girl, you have psychic powers, why don’t you break us out of here?"
She didn’t reply, and didn’t flinch to know that he even spoke.
"Hey, are you listening girl? I said why don’t you get us out of here," he repeated in an angry tone.
Her eyes suddenly opened with an icy glare, and she stood up. Without saying anything or even looking at any of them, she took the glove off her left and held it out towards the bars.
"W-wait a second Vadolla!" But it was already too late. Vadolla gripped her hand around the bar, the electric shock absorbing into her arm, shutting her eyes slightly, but not showing any bit of pain in her face. A few minutes later, the light of the electricity flickering violently and then shorted out. A hiss of smoke came from the bars and Vadolla pulled the door open.
"Why waste psychic power when I can just open it?"
The guards in the hall turned wide eyed and stunned as Vadolla stepped out, the white electricity running statically through her arm. They all paused for a minute, but, with her eyes originally shut, opening them with a glowing blue, they shouted in fear and ran away.
"What’s their problem?" Goku asked to no one in particular, but they all ignored it and began to head to where they didn’t know, but followed Vegeta because he seemed to know where he was going.
They ran up few staircases and through many hallways up into the castle, but oddly there was no guards or anyone around.
"Why isn’t there anyone around?" Goten asked.
"Because, if this king really says who he is, he wont need any guards," Vegeta stated.
As they entered into a small hallway, red carpet spread across the floor and torches lit symmetrically across from one another. They knew in an instant that this was the way to the king.
Blasting the door open, Vegeta went storming in to seeing who this king really was. But as the dust of the blast cleared, he was shocked as he saw the king, standing at the foot of the balcony, and so were the others. For they knew who he was, and they saw him once before, in a vision of the told colony planet.
"So you come at last, I was wondering how long I would have to wait." The king turned and looked at them with a smirk across his face.
"Bardock! But how, you were dead! You were destroyed along with my father!"
"Yes I was...for a time that is."
"Why did you take the throne then, you are not even of royal heritage!"
The king chuckled, and said, "Times have change, Vegeta, think about it. This world was chaos, and I brought it to order."
Vegeta’s mind finally came to, and realized that this was not Bardock. It looked like him, and spoke like him, but knew that this was a copy. It must’ve been a clone of some kind. How, you might ask, did he know this? Because he knew from when he was a boy that those who followed the king were loyal, and even though he might be out of commission, would never think of taking the throne; they would let the world be destroyed before they would ever do such a thing.
"You’re not Bardock, are you?"
"Smart, Vegeta, now you are thinking," the king said with an eerie grin. "But you aren’t very smart to come here. You know it was stupid to show up on this planet, you should have just left it as it was." Since his hands were behind his back , it could not be seen of what he was doing. He pulled the left out quickly, however, and shot a blast at Vegeta.
Not being able to keep his guard up, he fell back on one knee, but soon got up.
"The Sayajin race will never know that you existed," he stated, his grin now disappearing. He shot another blast and another, the gain of power increasing with every one.
"Dad! You okay?" Big T asked
"Just stay back, Trunks, this is my fight," Vegeta stated, standing up after another strong blast hit him in the stomach. "Heh, I’ll finish him off!"
"Vegeta!" shouted Goku.
"Not now, Kakarot!"
"Please, keep my family’s honor, even if I never knew my father."
"...Alright!" Vegeta yelled as he charged towards Bardock.
Bardock kept shooting ki at Vegeta, yet he could not stop him from ramming him. Bardock tumbled over as Vegeta did a furious barrage of punches.
Vegeta stopped and flew up into the air, shouting, "Big Bang Attack!!!"
The resulting explosion left a giant crater in the throne room. Bardock was covered in rubble.
"He’s too weak to rule the throne!" Vegeta stated.
Suddenly, a voice yelled from underneath the rubble, "Ki Ai!" and a barrage of ki hit Vegeta hard enough to make him shout out in pain.
A few shots missed him, and destroyed the ceiling above.
Bardock stood from the crater, gloating in pain, and laughed as he formed an energy ball in his hand.
He launched it into the sky, and shouted, "Now split, and get mixed!"
BANG! and a bright light filtered through the dust, and penetrated the eyes of Bardock. Screaming, roaring, Bardock transformed into something that made Vegeta and the rest go pale.
The monster roared and shouted in rage as it destroyed the palace with the Ultimate Skill. Vegeta and the others flew out of the way.
"What in the cosmos do you want, Bardock, that would force you to use such unholy measures?!"
"WHAT DO I WANT?! NOTHING BUT THE TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF THE ROYAL BLOODLINE!!!" he shouted as he shot a gigantic beam of dark energy at Vegeta.
Seriously injured, Vegeta cursed at Bardock for taking the throne, and disgracing his family, just like his son. He gathered all the energy he had, and charged up for the one attack that would properly extract revenge, the one attack that his father taught him.
Glowing with an evil ultraviolet light, Vegeta shouted the words, "Gallet Gun... FIRE!!!!!!!!!" Kabooooom!!! The radiating beam of ultraviolet tore through Bardock’s attack, and then tore through him. The throne was reclaimed.
"That was for you, father. I am the prince of all Saiya-jin’s once again!"
He passed out with a slight grin of joy.

***

"Long live King Vegeta! Long live King Vegeta!" the gigantic crowd shouted form below.
The word had been known through the Planet Vegeta that the true royal king was alive, and the people were most happy to hear this. His title as king was returned to him, and Bulma was told this as well from Big T on the spaceship’s com, coming as quickly as possible knowing that she was a queen now.
"Yayyyyyy!" she shouted with joy when she had arrived at the half destroyed palace.
In celebration, the planet’s people had a feast, worthy of the greatest planet of the universe.

"Servant woman! Where is my wine?!" Vegeta questioned, referring to Bulma.
"Get your own dang wine!" she responded in a joyful tone.
